Gotta tell you…I”m SO happy to have found this website! I’ve tried for YEARS to find Black Muslim Bakery and the ‘goodies’ that used to be sold there!
Literally, back in 1970 when I was 18-years old, I used to go EXCLUSIVELY to this store to buy ALL my bread, pies, cookies and sweets while living in Berkeley. I, even, would ‘bicycle’ from where I lived near the University of California Berkeley Campus- miles and miles way- to pack my backpack with ALL that I could carry. And, “I’m a WHITE GUY, too!”
I was so excited about discovering this website that I haven’t READ it completely- I admit.
IF you KNOW where to find a Black Muslim Bakery book, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I HAVE to have the EXACT RECIPES from this Muslim Bakery. THEY are the BEST! I can’t LIVE without these recipes- I admit, now- knowing that somewhere, SOMEWHERE they could be available.
