I was born in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and moved to Northern California when I was 7 or 8 years old, then again when I was 12. I’ve spent the rest of my life to date moving back and forth between the two coasts, with some time in Santa Fe, New Mexico for graduate school, and a year abroad in Florence, Italy. Right now, I am in Maryland, having just returned from 3 years in Oakland, CA. I expect I will be here about another year or so while I finish the two certificates I am pursuing: a Culinary Arts Entrepreneurship Certificate and a Baking and Pastry Skills Certificate. This is the story of my time in culinary school, my quest for good food on the East Coast, and the ridiculous stories that mark most of my days.
